Abstract
Digitalization has transformed students’ engagement with the Qur’an, including via platforms such as NU Online. This study aims to describe the form of private independent Qur'anic learning in digital spaces and its implications for the epistemology of contemporary exegesis. A qualitative–interpretive approach with thematic exegesis was applied to analyze Q.S. al-A‘rāf [7]: 204 based on the experiences of 15 Universitas Nurul Jadid students who actively access NU Online. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal a shift from collective to private learning, the emergence of digital Qur’anic consciousness, and the decentralization of interpretative authority through expanded digital accessibility. These results suggest that privatized Qur’anic learning reflects an epistemological transformation that requires digital literacy, ethical use of technology, and renewed pedagogical frameworks in Islamic education.

Digitalisasi telah mengubah cara mahasiswa berinteraksi dengan Al-Qur’an, termasuk melalui platform digital seperti NU Online. Penelitian kualitatif-interpretatif berbasis studi lapangan dengan metode tafsīr maudhū‘ī ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pembelajaran Al-Qur’an mandiri yang bersifat privat di ruang digital serta implikasinya terhadap epistemologi tafsir kontemporer. Fokus analisis diarahkan pada penafsiran Q.S. al-A‘rāf [7]: 204 berdasarkan pengalaman 15 mahasiswa Universitas Nurul Jadid yang aktif mengakses konten keagamaan di NU Online. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pergeseran pola belajar dari metode kolektif ke praktik belajar privat, terbentuknya kesadaran Qur’ani digital, serta terjadinya desentralisasi otoritas penafsiran akibat makin terbukanya akses dan besarnya peran platform digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa privatisasi pembelajaran Al-Qur’an menandai perubahan epistemologis yang menuntut penguatan literasi digital, penegakan adab penggunaan teknologi, serta pembaruan metode pembelajaran dalam pendidikan Islam.
