Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of mudharabah
financing at the PP Islamiyah Syafiiyah Cooperative and its
contribution to members’ well-being, covering economic, social, and
business sustainability aspects. This study also examines the role of
Sharia contract literacy and the effectiveness of business mentoring
in supporting the success of the financing. The method used is a
qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical character. The
results show that mudharabah financing has been implemented in
accordance with Sharia principles and contributes to improving
members’ welfare, particularly through increased income, business
development, and a greater sense of security and confidence in
running their businesses. However, its effectiveness has not yet been
optimal due to factors such as members’ level of Sharia contract
literacy, the quality of business mentoring, and a monitoring system
that remains limited. These findings indicate that the success of
mudharabah financing depends not only on the disbursement of
capital but also on strengthening the cooperative’s institutional
capacity and empowering its members. Therefore, cooperative
managers need to improve education on Sharia contracts, business
mentoring, and monitoring systems, while policymakers need to
support the strengthening of Sharia financial literacy and
cooperative capacity in order to optimize the role of mudharabah
financing in improving members’ welfare in a sustainable manner.
