This study aims to investigate the institutional strategies implemented by LPBA Nurul Jadid in promoting students’ Non-Academic Achievement in English language competitions. Specifically, the study identifies the institutional strategies adopted by the institution, examines how these strategies are operationalized through educational programs and daily activities, and analyzes the supporting and challenging factors influencing their implementation. This study employed a qualitative case study design with an interpretive-constructivist approach. The research was conducted at LPBA Nurul Jadid, a foreign language development institute within Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid, East Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation involving the director, program coordinators, an English competition coach, current students, and an alumnus. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and triangulation to ensure the credibility and trustworthiness of the findings.
The findings reveal that LPBA Nurul Jadid promotes students’ Non-Academic Achievement through integrated institutional strategies comprising strategic leadership, English language immersion, structured learning programs, systematic talent identification, continuous coaching, regular evaluation, collaborative institutional support, student engagement, effective resource management, and continuous institutional improvement. These strategies are implemented through intensive language training, daily immersion practices, competition-oriented coaching, mentoring, and coordinated institutional management, creating a sustainable environment that supports students’ competitive achievements in English language competitions. The study concludes that students’ Non-Academic Achievement are the result of comprehensive institutional strategies rather than individual abilities alone. The integration of strategic planning, consistent implementation, and continuous evaluation contributes significantly to sustainable competitive success. It is recommended that educational institutions adopt integrated institutional strategies that combine language immersion, systematic coaching, collaborative management, and continuous evaluation to strengthen students’ Non-Academic Achievement and institutional competitiveness.
