Movie is one of the media that becomes major sources of entertainment, education, and knowledge. As the media, movie is a good solution of troubles and problems in learning because it consists of interesting audio and visuals so it doesn't make people’s easily bored. By watching a movie, the researcher can get many things, especially moral values. Moral value is about people’s belief in good or bad conduct.
This research discusses the moral values contained in the Suzume movie based on Thomas Lickona’s theory. The objective of doing this research is to find out the moral values in Suzume movie. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method to evaluate Suzume. The primary source of the data is Suzume movie, and secondary source of the data is the file of the subtitle. The researcher used Thomas Lickona’s theory to analyze the moral values of “Suzume” a movie by Makoto Shinkai.
The result of this study that there are 12 types moral values in Suzume movie. They are: respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness, tolerance, prudence, self-discipline, helpfuless, compassion, cooperation, courage, and democratic. From this research, the researcher hopes that after reading this research, the reader understand about moral values.
