Rofi’ah. 2022. Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Achievement. Undergraduate English Education Program, Social and Humanity Faculty, Nurul Jadid University. Advisor (I) Dr. Tirmidi, M.Pd (II) Mohammad Sofyan Adi Pranata, S.Pd., M.Li.

This study aims at improving students' reading comprehension achievement by applying storytelling technique. To improve students’ ability, the researcher should know their achievement before the research. In order to answer these questions, classroom action research was conducted. The finding shows that the strategy proposed for teaching storytelling to improve reading comprehension achievement for students X IPA 2 MA Nurul Jadid is accurate, this study was declared successful with 1 cycle because it was seen from the results of the students' pretest and posttest which experienced an increase. The students' average pretest was 62 while the posttest result was 83,7. In addition, students became more enthusiastic and more active during learning. Then these results indicate that
storytelling technique can be used as a technique in learning to improve students’
reading comprehension achievement.
