The primary challenge faced by eighth-grade students at SMP Insan Terpadu is difficulty in composing sentences and paragraphs due to limited vocabulary mastery. This study aims to address this issue and improve students' vocabulary through the use of English songs. Employing a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the model by Kemmis and McTaggart, the researcher worked alongside the English teacher through two cycles, each consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected using qualitative instruments (interviews and observations) and quantitative instruments (pre-test, post-test, and questionnaires). The initial pre-test results showed an average score of 60.63, with only 33.3% of students (12 students) reaching the passing grade of 70. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 69.22, with 55.5% of students (20 students) passing. In Cycle II, significant improvement was achieved with an average score of 77.33, where 83.33% of students (30 students) successfully met the passing criteria. These results indicate that the research successfully met the predetermined criteria for success. In conclusion, the implementation of English songs is an effective method for enhancing vocabulary mastery among students at SMP Insan Terpadu.
